Henry Braby is recorded as having been Pioneer Sugar Mill's consulting engineer in the late nineteenth century and seems to have worked closely with John Drysdale, one of the owners of the Pioneer Sugar Mill. The Pioneer mill was a freehold sugar plantation on the Burdekin River, Queensland. Henry Braby worked on several machine inventions that he patented on behalf of Pioneer. This collection consists of original letters and other documents relating to Henry Braby and Co., which was established when Henry Braby decided to work as a businessman himself.
