Presented by Professor Lyndall Ryan (Centre for the 21st Century Humanities, University of Newcastle) this lecture took place on Monday the 27th of May 2019 as part of a programme of activities which occurred during National Reconciliation week organised by James Cook University in collaboration with Townsville City Council.

In this lecture Professor Ryan discusses the digital map which aims to make Australian history accessible to everyone. Drawing on frontier massacre sites in North Queensland, she discusses how the map works, the definition of frontier massacre and the criteria and protocols required for a site to be included on the map.
