Summary

Lloyd's Register of Shipping, issued annually in July. This book contains the names, classes, and detailed information concerning the vessels classed by Lloyd's Register and the later Underwriters' Registry for Iron Vessels; particulars, as far as possible, of all sea-going vessels in the world, and of all iron and steel vessels trading on the North American Lakes, of 100 tons and upwards; together with particulars of vessels fitted with refrigerating appliances, lists of frozen meat stores and refrigerated railway cars, and a list of owners of ships recorded in the register book.
